Thorsten Fehlberg is a political scientist and social geographer. His main areas of expertise include right-wing extremism, political activism, and experiences of descendants of victims of Nazi persecution. He worked for the non-governmental organization "Federal Association Information and Advice for Survivors of Nazi Persecution" from 2013 to 2019. From 2020 to 2022, he worked for the Foundation of Hamburg Memorials and Learning Centres Commemorating the Victims of Nazi Crimes as a research assistant. Thorsten is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Cologne and a member of the Research Training Group "Right-wing Populism – Authoritarian Developments, Extreme Right Discourses, and Democratic Resonances." He was a scholarship holder of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk from 2021 to 2025 (ELES) He is an associate scientist at the Else Frenkel-Brunswik Institute and Selma Stern Zentrum.
